This is a show that I have involvement with from the earliest stages. As Assistant Model Coordinator for the SCAD Atlanta campus, my job starts when garments are still in their muslin stage. I am responsible for making sure that we have models for all fittings and critiques in preparation for the big end-of-year show. All of the models are students at the university trained by Miss J. Alexander. Once in Savannah, I am tasked with ensuring all models are accounted for, they are in the correct looks and the dressers know what they are responsible for. I oversee the backstage area for this event and jump in whenever help is needed.

This video features more of the SCAD FASHWKND Savannah Runway show as well as the static showcase in Atlanta, which I am also involved in as Assistant Model Coordinator. The Atlanta showcase works more like a gallery where models are stationed throughout the SCAD Atlanta Fashion floor with minor choreography and guests are guided through the different vignettes. My role for this event is working with the SCAD events team as well as the externally hired creative director to make sure that every look has a model and that all pieces are accounted for. I am the point of contact between the models and the events staff for smooth running of the event.

I worked on this show as an intern at Catwalk Productions, the fashion show production company that has been involved with the Jeffrey Cares Atlanta show for around 20 years. My duties included assisting Jeffrey Kalinsky and his team during the fitting and styling process, organizing the lineup to ensure all pieces are accounted for, setting up the backstage area, and lining up the models.

As a part of my internship at Catwalk Productions, I had the pleasure of working on this incredible benefit fashion show. For this show I was tasked with going to the various participating stores to select and style looks for the celebrities, models and children to wear on the runway. Once the looks were selected, I helped with ordering them into a visually appealing lineup. I also assisted with fittings, backstage preparation, model lineup and returning of merchandise to the respective stores.
